Daily excursions to various areas provide many photographic opportunities. Wild horse photography is available in summer or winter months. Ask about our meals and accommodations.

WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY

Ride or hike to various areas near the Panther River Retreat and photograph the many species of wildlife. Bighorn sheep, moose, deer and elk are abundant. Meals and accommodations can be provided.

There are hundreds of different species of birds and mammals to see in the Alberta Rockies. Be sure to bring along your camera and binoculars. Beautiful mountain birds include the whiskey jacks, goldfinches, Clarke's Nutcracker, ravens, Eastern Slopes Rosy Finch, Black-capped and Boreal chickadees, osprey, Gold and Bald Eagles, and more.

There are also various species of unique mountain flowers and of course, the spectacular scenery offered by Alberta's Rocky Mountains ... a photographer's dream!

The Yaha Tinda Ranch is home to over 1,000 elk in the winter.
